Ganga Program Schedule

  • A retreat and celebration for experiencing the presence of Shiva and the energy of the Goddess, with the blessings of Ma Ganga and the great Himalayan Rishis and Yogis
  • Mantra, Meditation, Ritual, Pranayama and Yoga in accord with the great teachings of Veda, Tantra, Ayurveda and Vedic astrology
  • Morning meditation on the banks of Ma Ganga, a Yoga asana and a morning class.
  • Each day relates to a special Devata (deity) and to the planet governing the day. The classes consist of talks along with inner Yoga practices of pranayama, mudra, mantra and meditation. Throughout the program, the participants will learn special methods of inner Yoga practice that they can integrate into their personal lives.

Brunch includes an hour of free time. Afternoon usually consists of two classes and evening offerings on the Ganga. Satsang and interaction follows dinner.


Sunday, March 8. Arrival

6:00 – 7:30 PM. Ganga Darshan with Bhuta Shuddhi (inner purification), Astrological Offerings for Surya (the Sun)

7:30 – 9:00 PM. Dinner

9:00 – 10.00 PM. Honoring Ganesha to Remove all Obstacles

Monday, March 9. Day of Shiva Yogeshwara, the Lord of Yoga
6:30 AM. Wake up, morning tea in room

7:00 – 8:00 AM. Meditation by the Ganga

8:00 – 9:00 AM. Yoga according to Vedic principles

9:30 – 11.00 AM. Morning Class – Shiva as the Lord of Yoga (Vamadeva); awakening the Presence of Shiva within to unfold the higher Yogas of energy and awareness

11:00 AM – 1:30 PM. Brunch

1:30 – 3:00 PM. First Class – How to Experience Shiva within through Devotion, Bhakti Yoga (Shambhavi)

3:00 – 4:00 PM. Tea

4:00 – 5:30 PM. Second Class – Shiva Mantras, Pranayama, Mudras, Rituals and Meditation (Shambhavi and Vamadeva)

6:00 – 7:00 PM. Ganga Darshan with Astrological Offerings for Chandra (the Moon)

7:30 – 9:00 PM. Dinner

9:00 – 10:00 PM. Satsang on Shiva

Tuesday, March 10. Vedic Day and Sacred Fire Offering (Yajna)

9:30 – 11.00. Morning Class – The Fire of Prana and Pranayama, Inner Fire Rituals through the Chakras (Vamadeva)

11:00 AM – 1:30 PM. Brunch

1:30 – 3:00 PM. Class – Karma and Vedic Astrology, Planetary Rituals and Yajnas (Vamadeva and Shambhavi)

3:00 – 4:00 PM. Tea

4:00 – 5:00 PM. Ganga Darshan with Astrological Offerings for Mangal (the planet Mars)

5:00 – 7:30 PM. Vedic Fire Ritual (Havan) with Vedic Priests

7:30 – 9:00 PM. Dinner

9:00 – 10:00 PM. Satsang on Agni, Ayurveda and Healing Body and Mind

Wednesday, March 11. Day of the Devi, Worship of the Goddess. From Sarasvati to Kali

6:30. Wake up, morning tea in room

7:00 – 8:00. Meditation by the Ganga

8:00 – 9:00. Yoga according to Vedic principles

9:30 – 11.00. Morning Class – Sarasvati, Matangi and Sundari: the Goddess and the Power of Vak, the Divine Word (Vamadeva)

11:00 AM – 1:30 PM. Brunch

1:30 – 3:00 PM. First Class – The Worship of Ma Durga and the Protective Power of the Goddess (Shambhavi)

3:00 – 4:00 PM. Tea

4:00 – 5:30 PM. Second Class – The Worship of Ma Kali, the Yoga Shakti in Yoga Sadhana (Shambhavi)

6:00 – 7:00 PM. Ganga Darshan with Astrological Offerings for Budha (the planet Mercury)

7:30 – 9:00 PM. Dinner

9:00 – 10:00 PM. Satsang on the Goddess

Thursday, March 12. Vasishta Guha Day
Sadhaks will visit nearby Vasistha Guha (cave), made famous by the great Vedic rishi Vasistha and Swami Purshottomananda of the Ramakrishna order

6:30 AM. Wake up, morning tea in room

7:00 – 8:00 AM. Meditation by the Ganga

8:00 – 9:00 AM. Yoga according to Vedic principles

9:30 – 11.00 AM. Morning Class – Foundations of the Yoga of Knowledge (Jnana Yoga), Ramana Maharshi and Shiva Dakshinamurti (Vamadeva)

11:00 AM – 1:30 PM. Brunch

1:30 – 3:00 PM. Class – Personal Rituals to Unfold the Divine Within; Setting up a Daily Practice (Shambhavi)

3:00 – 4:00 PM. Tea

4:00 – 7:00 PM. Vasishta Guha Visit and Ganga Darshana with Astrological Offerings for Brihaspati (the planet Jupiter) and the Guru

7:30 – 9:00 PM. Dinner

9:00 – 10:00 PM. Satsang on the inner Self (Paramatman)
